Hosting
You’ll need a central place to store your best content, to run apps, a place you control. This is done on either a Public or Private web server. If you want to set up the site yourself, Wordpress hosting is probably your best option. If you’re looking to sell products online, be sure to check out the WooCommerce Hosting Plans.

Research
Market Research
Research and find competitors and see what information they have in your area / county / state / country or world-wide. Compare ads you see, landing pages, differences in mobile and desktop views. Where are they listed? Are they on the same sites as you are? What do you like about their profiles or websites? What don’t you like?
Although a lot can be done on new mobile and tablet devices, I recommend getting a laptop for your business. The laptop would be synced with your cloud accounts so if anything happened, your files and information could still be accessed on other devices. Laptops are also portable, so some work can be done from home or anywhere, at any time. Remember, starting out you can always use your own equipment, it will be easier to copy things over when the time comes.

Monetization is the process of converting something into money or revenue. It typically refers to a strategy or method used by companies and individuals to generate income from some form of asset, service, or product. Here are a few examples of monetization:
1. **Advertising**: Many businesses monetize their websites, blogs, podcasts, or YouTube channels by selling advertising space. This could be through a pay-per-click model, where the business gets paid every time someone clicks on an ad, or a cost-per-impression model, where the business gets paid based on the number of people who view the ad. 2. **Subscriptions and Memberships**: Some businesses, particularly those in the media or entertainment sectors, monetize their content through subscriptions or memberships. This means users pay a regular fee (monthly or annually) to access the content or service.
3. **Selling Products or Services**: Businesses can monetize their expertise or resources by selling products or services. This could be anything from selling physical goods, digital products, or providing professional services.
4. **Data Monetization**: Some companies monetize by collecting, analyzing, and selling data. This is common in the tech industry where companies gather user data and sell it to advertisers or market researchers.
5. **In-App Purchases and Freemium Models**: Mobile apps often monetize through in-app purchases or a freemium model. The app itself is free, but users can pay for additional features, services, or virtual goods.
6. **Affiliate Marketing**: In this form of monetization, an individual or company promotes a product or service offered by another company and earns a commission from any sales made through their referral.
7. **Licensing and Syndication**: A company can monetize its intellectual property (like a patented technology or copyrighted content) by licensing it to others for a fee.
It's important to note that the best monetization strategy will depend on the nature of the business, the value it provides, and the preferences of its target audience. It's also not uncommon for businesses to use a mix of different monetization strategies.

SANS Security Awareness: Email and Phishing
Phishing is an email-based cyber-attack, often targeting many people at once. This updated module explains key methods cyber attackers use to get people to click on the bait in an email message, such as links, attachments, or redirects. It also identifies the primary clues that each person can use to detect phishing, and how to safely check links in email. Finally, the module reviews additional safe email behaviors, such as careful use of auto-complete and reply-all features, which can accidentally be used to share information with those who are not authorized to see it.
